I know the basics about technology. I have a smart board in my classroom since two years ago but I haven't been exploring this wonderful tool as I should. I am very excited to learn more about technology because there are so many resources online that can help to improve my teaching skills. I work with middle school kids and technology is something that they use every single day. I basically just use my e-mail at home and at work and I haven't used or created blogs, facebook or even youtube videos. As a matter of fact, I am working on my comprehensive exam to complete my Master's program and my goal is to write about the use of technology to help ESL students and second language learners. I hope you can help me to find out some literature about technology and ESL students and show me how to apply what we are learning into my classroom. I loved the first activity we did about the digital imagery and I already thought about an activity that I can do in my classroom. I hope I can finish this course with a lot of ideas about techniques to be used with my students and in my personal life. I also hope this class will give an inspiration for my comps and that I will feel confident in using technology more often in my daily lessons.
